Today sees the launch of Sideways News, delivering fresh perspectives on things that matter.
Sideways News is designed to be a fresh & inspiring antidote to negative news reporting, bringing together global stories and perspectives that focus on a search for solutions and identify new thinking and possibilities around today's complex issues.
9web have been working with the Sideways News team over the past 6 months or so to create a visual design for the website, fine tune the functional requirements and to implement the design and functionality on the open-source CMS, Drupal.
A huge amount of work from all parties has made today's launch possible and we look forward to continued collaboration and innovation as the business grows.
Emiel van Melis, Director of Sideways News said:

We are very pleased to announce that today sees the launch of the new Plan website.
Plan is one of the oldest and largest international development agencies in the world, working in 49 developing countries across Africa, Asia and the Americas to promote child rights and lift millions of children out of poverty.
During the website redesign project, 9web worked with Plan staff from around the globe to define the information architecture for the new site and ensure that the strategic objectives of the redesign were met.
Our iterative creative process of design and usability testing then delivered the user interface for the website. The front end design has since been implemented on to the Plone CMS by Fry IT.
John Maughan, Global Online and Publications Manager at Plan said:
Plan wanted a cleanly designed site, coded to a very high standard. 9web have done an excellent job.
