We're looking for an information architect with strong experience of interaction design, user experience and usability testing across websites, intranets, mobile devices and web applications.
About you
- You have previous experience as an information architect / interaction designer
- You have a Masters degree in HCI or a similar subject
- You have considerable expertise in the creation of personas, wireframes, site maps and in user journey planning
- You have exceptional communication skills
- You have the ability to design and run requirements gathering workshops
- You have the experience and aptitude to plan and run usability testing
- You are passionate about improving the user experience
- You have a solid understanding of web design and development along with a working knowledge of web technologies
- You have an almost unhealthy attention to detail and take real pride in the finished product
- You have previous agency experience
- You are well organised and self-motivated, with the ability to work to tight deadlines on multiple projects
About the role
- You will have ownership of a wide range of challenging projects for a diverse set of clients across multiple sectors
- You'll liaise directly with clients and present your work to them
- You'll gather and define requirements, and communicate these efficiently across the project team
- You'll develop a deep understanding of target audiences, their behaviours, needs and expectations
- You'll develop logical, thorough and user-friendly site maps, user journeys and wireframes
- You'll work collaboratively with project managers, visual designers, developers and external suppliers to ensure the best possible user experience
- You'll represent the end user at all stages of the product development lifecycle
- You'll prepare, conduct and report on usability testing
- You'll carry out and write up expert usability evaluations
Special consideration will be given to candidates who have demonstrable experience and ability in one or all of the following: Project management; Search engine optimisation strategies; XHTML/CSS prototyping; Web accessibility.
This position will require a confident, proactive and experienced candidate with the requisite skills to be able to "hit the ground running". You will also have the ability to respond positively to client feedback and to work as part of a team.
You must be based in London and have a UK work permit.
