We are very pleased to announce a major new project to design and develop a new website for ACT Alliance.
The ACT Alliance is a unification of the ACT International alliance and the ACT Development alliance. The new alliance will have over 100 organisations working together worldwide on development, emergencies and advocacy.
We will be working with the ACT Alliance team to develop an information architecture which caters to the needs of their audiences and design a strong, image-led visual identity, that emphasises approachability, involvement, openness, trust, and honesty.
The project is in partnership with Fry IT who will develop the website functionality on the Plone CMS.
Sean Hawkey, Communications Officer at ACT Development said:
9web listened carefully and showed an insightful understanding of ACT Alliance’s needs. They have successful recent work in the same sector and their references consist of unreserved recommendations and praise, particularly for user-focused design and testing. We are glad to have a switched-on team that is interested in making our work a success.

Plan have today launched "planet", their new global intranet and main information resource for 8000 Plan staff worldwide.
During the project, 9web worked with a team of internal stakeholders to understand the unique needs of all areas of the organisation, developed the content architecture for the intranet and delivered a new visual identity with a focus on clear user journeys and simplified staff collaboration.
Anna Wili, Internal Communications Adviser at Plan said:
We have had great feedback from staff since the launch. They love the new designs - finding them clean, simple and visually appealing. The new structure also provides a much more streamlined route to the infromation they need. The whole site now offers a clear internal brand and gives a real sense of the global organisation.

Today sees the launch of a new website for Symprove, a breakthrough probiotic dietary supplement.
We were commissioned by Symprove to support the market launch of their next generation probiotic. Our brief was to rework a basic website to bring the look and feel up to date; to clearly communicate the benefits of the product and to showcase the real-life stories from the wide variety of people of all ages benefiting from taking Symprove. We were also asked to build an easy to use online retail application and integrate the site with a secure payment processing system.
Michael Le Brocq, Managing Director at Symprove Ltd said:
We asked 9web to fine tune and polish our website and back-end. Many design houses would have simply moved a few things around and changed the odd colour and font, but 9web took the whole thing apart and led us through a well thought out process to create a fresh and contemporary site which was beyond our expectations.
Not only did they sort out our front of house, but the team helped us to build a best practice back-end which meets the latest security demands for online retail and will support our business for years to come.
9web work quickly, to a high standard and their brilliant client extranet takes the pain out of project management and makes communicating a breeze.
